Ministry of Labour introduces e-service for amending occupations on work permits

The Ministry of Labour has introduced a digital service for amending occupations on work permits, without requiring a visit to the Ministry’s premises.
The new service allows employers to modify the occupations and professions of their employees with a valid work permit electronically. The new service also allows a direct progression to the attestation system for contracts between the employer and the employee and the export of information about the modified occupation to the Ministry of Interior.

The Qatar Central Bank (“QCB”) announced amendments to the real estate financing (mortgage) regulations, including setting out the maximum loan-to-value (“LTV”) ratios and tenures for mortgages within the State of Qatar, which will be applied to Qatari banks and subsidiaries within the country.
